I have found
main menu -> advanced settings -> codec settings
main menu -> advanced settings -> codec order

But I'm not sure how to choose which codec will actually be used. I'm also not sure how to tell which codec will give best quality.

I'm having quality problems and am also looking at ip predence and other traffic shaping with my zyxel p-660ru-t1 modem/router. Rolling Eyes

Hi,

To tell which codec you have active, on the main interface of the softphone, look at the lower part of the phone screen. You'll see it has the codecs listed from g711u -> spx.

You can choose which one you want to use by clicking it, this will make it black and activate it. To deactivate a codec, click on it again and it'll grey it out so that it's not active. That way you can try and see which one works best for you Smile

Thanks for your reply. What does it mean when 2 or more codecs are black at the same time? I think only one codec would be used at one time (or possibly one to code and another to decode).
